Meals at Yoga Dham Ashram
Breakfast: Porridge, fresh fruit, pancakes — a warm and gentle start to the day.
Dinner: Light vegetable soup and fresh chapati.
Lunch: • Dal (lentil dish) • Vegetable sabji • Fresh salad • A side dish of your choice — rice, pasta, or chapati.
Throughout the day — aromatic masala chai with honey and biscuits, warming and refreshing. Also on the menu: homemade paneer, vegetable soups, and freshly baked flatbreads or chapati. For those who enjoy spicy food and want to experience a more traditional taste of India — try pickle, a traditional Indian spicy condiment made with pickled vegetables and spices.
The food is light and easy to digest, helping to maintain clarity of mind during practice. Meals are prepared by members of the Acharya family — home-style, with love and care, just as they would cook for their own family. We follow traditional Indian recipes while adapting the level of spice for international guests, making the food nourishing, aromatic, and enjoyable even for those trying Indian cuisine for the first time.
We take great care with every meal — food at the ashram consistently receives some of the warmest feedback from our students.
At the ashram, we prepare sattvic vegetarian food — without onion or garlic, following the traditions of yogic ashrams in India.
